Mail.

I have never loved getting mail more than I do now. Everyday it's a race to the mailbox, and I pretty much hold my breath while I open it. Seeing as I now have three of my closest guy friends on missions, I look forward to their letters every week and sometimes I won't even read them for awhile, I'll just set them down on the counter, maybe move them to my room, and then bring them back upstairs and then finally read them. I like to savor the moment ya know? Sometimes when I open them I even squeal with delight a little bit, it's like the anticipation you would get when you were little and you got the letter of who your new school teacher would be the next coming year. I would look forward to that letter for weeks and weeks when I was younger and now it's the same way. I guess you don't fully appreciate mail unless you have people you really care about sending it to you, and especially if that's your only means of communication with those certain people. Needless to say..i love mail.

let's play catch up. things in my life that have happened as of late.
-i moved home from college
-my life is completely different now, i live with six other people, who are not all teenage girls
-am i upset i can't share clothes? yes. it tends to happen when you live with 2 boys and 2 little sisters.
-some of my closest friends have left to serve for two years. so proud of them.
-i have started working.
-i miss logan and the people there terribly.
-i have started running. new thing to keep myself distracted and healthy to boot.
-my brother (joseph) and his fam from arizona came to visit. also my other brother (david) and fam have spent time with us as well. i love them. especially my cute nieces and nephew.
-my friends are starting to get married. weird.
-i'm now saving to head to peru with my best friend kandis in the spring to work in an orphanage there. stoked.
-and last but certainly not least. i finished all 7 of the harry potter books (in record time this year) and i'm sooo excited for the last movie premiere and you betcha i will be going to the midnight premiere!

sometimes..you just miss people.

change.

change is inevitable. it happens.
some people love it and some people hate it, i am one of those people, that for the most part hates it. last year at this time i was just about to graduate high school, life was simple. i knew that i was going up to utah state for college and was moving up there with my best friends. now as a lot of my younger friends are graduating and going through the exact same thing that i went through exactly a year ago, i say to myself one thing..where on earth did the time go? when did i stop playing dress up? when did i graduate elementary? when did i stop watching "Arthur" in the afternoons? when did i start driving and dating? when did i move out of my house out into the unknown? when did the best year of my life end? and now here i am, back home in bountiful utah. a year of college and life behind me, a big change, behind me. how do i feel? i'll let you know when i can catch my breath. now i have to think big girl thoughts..what are the best choices for me in my life right now and where will they take me?
change. just something i've been thinking about a lot recently.

p.s. this kid below is just amazing. just thought you should know. (: sometimes change is okay because good things like this happen.

tips for a classy wednesday.

 -start your wednesday off by missing your first class of the day....math is overrated these days anyway.
-then make sure you dance your face off at hip hop class.
-hit up the library for a quick study sesh with your buddies.
-then make sure you go cheer for your big brother at his soccer game.
-take a nap right in the middle of your day, because naps are best.
-then watch the rain with your bff outside the window.
-you might wanna go to the crepery to get my new favorite..dessert crepes.
-on the way home splash in the biggest puddles that logan has to offer.
- make sure you hit walmart up to get some essentials for the night:
     -hair dye for Roscoe (auburn style)
     -way too expensive but smoking hot utah state jammies for Daryn
     -cookie monster boxers for Sama Jama
     -a pink floral umbrella for myself
-oh yeah and talk to that one boy on the phone that makes you smile the most. :)
-end the night off with some laughs about famous "basketball players" with your buddies.

sidekick.

You know how in all the classic children movies the main character or hero has a cute animal sidekick.. Aladdin has Abu, Cinderella has Jaque and Gus,  Hercules has Pegasus, Anastasia has Puka, Ariel has flounder, Giselle has Pip, Mulan has Mushu, Jasmine has Raja, Peter Pan has tinkerbell…well I guess she’s not an animal but same idea. Anyway my personal favorite is Rapunzel’s sidekick Pascal, he is the cutest little chameleon in the world. I want one. To keep in my pocket. To change colors whenever he feels like it. I think he'd help me out with guys too, I mean what boy doesn't want a pet chameleon?
